Love the pockets on the side. Perfect for my cell phone. The waist is very fitting and stays in perfect place all day no matter how much you bend. No pulling them up or twisting to keep them in place. The waist does not bulge out making for a very slimming look with fitted tops.

These are tough! I’m reluctant to wear anything like leggings at risk of them getting pierced or ripped (and lead to the same happening to my skin), but even with denim or work pants, the shins and knees suffer and wear through. My first pair of these is at least a year old and still holding up like new. The double layer hits just where I experience the most wear/tear, magically these don’t even have any snags despite coming in contact with wood shards, metal, happy pups, etc. I’m only 5’4 so I do get a little bunching around the ankles, but it actually works out great for times I’d prefer to put them over boots, additionally I have things on my shins and ankles during summer, but “safety first” and I need to, then being a bit longer and bunched actually works out very well for myself. Finally, the enhanced mobility is priceless, especially for a plus sized female, I don’t have any concerns of being limited when crouching, climbing, etc.

I have never wore leggings before so these were a real trial for me. They were not a disappointment. I ordered a large to be sure they were too tight. A medium may have been a better fit. I am 5’4″, 155lbs
I wear them to the barn and so nice to fit right into my “barn boots”. They are warm but in 29? weather I had to wear tights under them. The pockets are great. I would recommend these.

I really wanted to like these, but sadly the style is not cut for an “athletic” body type (ie. someone with a booty and thighs but reasonably fit torso). I tried size small first, and although they fit well at the hips, i had trouble getting them over my thighs. The mediums fit over the thighs well but were falling down my hips. And there are no belt loops since they are leggings so there was no way to keep them up. I would love to see this design with belt loops to solve that issue.

I love these leggings! I have had a hard time finding “work” leggings that fit me correctly. The waist is usually too big and if there is a draw string, it’s ineffective. These fit my hips and waist perfectly. I love all of the pockets and the utility loop. They are durable but still stretchy and perfect for cleaning the goat house, chicken coop and working in the garden. I will be buying another pair!

I came in with really high hopes for these pants. I ordered a 1X which should have fit my body as far as the sizing chart went. The ankles were insanely tight and they cut my belly in half. The crotch of the pants was low too, and I didn’t even get the tall ones. These might be great for someone without a spare tire but for me they were unflattering and really uncomfortable.

I wear a medium in all leggings I have ever owned. I ordered these leggings in a medium and in a large, since I wasn’t sure about sizing. I agree with the numerous reviews saying there is practically no stretch at all in the waistband. I was afraid to force the mediums over my hips, thinking they might tear. I got the large leggings on, still a tight pull on the waistband, but then the legs were really big and long. More like jodphurs. Very odd styling. They look great in the pictures, but I must not be the figure they are looking for. A stretchier waistband would have made all the difference.

bought these today in black, washed these today as directed.. i come to find the area where the sizing sticker was placed on the back thigh left residue on the fabric that’s quite noticeable in person & from a distance. tried ways of taking it off but it doesn’t budge, looks like the fabric is permanently stained from the sticker adhesive . uh, other than that they’re warm & perfect for minnesota winter, i love the area in the knees & the extra side pocket. they’re a bit long for me but i guess i’m on the shorter side @ 5’2. but i’ll knock off an appearance point bc i hate having to roll up my pants & they look funny at my calves & ankles. you should have short , regular & tall options.. i like that it’s a nice thick nylon & spandex fabric tho. but with that being said it’s a magnet for hair or fibers of all kinds… & the fabric would easily get pulled out of place if caught on something. the fabric itself is shedding shiny stringy fibers, makes me wonder if in the future it’ll be piling.. but pants like these are more for work/keeping warm than they are a fashion statement for me so deep down i could care less what they look like… shhh……

I’m a landscaper and I absolutely destroy all of my pants, I’ve been eyeing these for a while because my standard work pants can sometimes give me some serious chafing and the freedom of movement provided by leggings is something I’ve dreamed about but normal leggings don’t usually have pockets and they NEVER have reinforced knees (which are an essential for me). I absolutely love these, they’ve stood up pretty well so far and I wear them constantly, they hold their shape pretty well so I’ll regularly wear them a couple of days in a row.
As much as I love these, here are my words of warning:
These seem to fall victim to the sizing inconsistency that plagues seemingly every Carhartt product. I bought a black pair in xs and I loved them so much that I ordered two more pairs in heathered black and green. The heathered black ones are so small that I can’t even wear them. Unfortunately I am a fool who, in my excitement over the pants, ripped all the tags off before trying them on. I should have known better, seeing as I have been utterly failed by Carhartt’s sizing issues on so many occasions (I hope they figure this out, I should just be able to order my normal size with confidence, I would really prefer to not have to drive super far out of my way to a physical store try every pair of pants on in person so I can find the ones that are ACTUALLY true to size.)
My second gripe is that Carhartt continues to gives women’s pants a very distinct hip to waist ratio that is not reasonable for a huge amount of women. I have wide hips and a significantly narrower waist and these would fit like we’re tailor made for me if they were about 3-4 inches higher. Because they’re leggings it’s no where near as severe as with other styles and I can still comfortably wear them with no issues. I get making pants wider at the hips and tighter at the waist since waist gapping is a pain but a lot of carhartt’s women’s styles take this way too far.

These are my favorite pair of pants so i ordered another pair in a different color. Hiking, gardening or just sitting around the house, they are very comfy! I am 5’6 and weigh 140lbs and I ordered the small as they are stretchy. I have tried on the Mediums and they were too big.

I’ve had these for 8 months now with some hard use across 3 seasons, and still absolutely love them. They are by far the best thing I’ve ever worn for a typical day around the horse farm. Completely comfortable, and yet durable enough to hold up to almost anything & dry fast – and best of all, they’re so easy to brush off & head out to run errands or eat out without looking like I just came straight from the horse barn. They’re flexible enough to really move with you while climbing fences, yet durable enough to not tear when clearing trails & don’t snag on brush or barn cat claws. Sizing seems true-to-fit to me, and never had any of the issues that some reviews have stated, but I do have narrower hips than some women. I typically wear a 30’x33′ (or 10 Long) in womens slim fit jeans, and the Medium Tall work well with paddock boots (but might be a tiny bit too short with clogs). They’re even comfortable to trail ride in for a few hours when riding wester or endurance without any issue – but the seams on the inseam are a little thicker than I’d risk my dressage saddle with. I’m often complimented on them & questioned about them at horse shows (when out as a Show Mom – not competing), and they’re surprized that these are from a farm-girl brand instead of higher end Equestrian brand since they are so well designed for Barn life. And the horse hair & fur just brushes right off! The pockets are perfect & easily fit a Samsung Note+ phone, and there’s even a little loop to hook my keys to. So glad to see that they now come in more colors besides just black, and will be ordering more!
They’re SO close to being the PERFECT farm pants – if they just had belt loops!! And that is honestly my only complaint. (4-star on functionality due to this lack of belt loops.) Why no Belt Loops?!?!!!

I love these pants! As an overweight but very active “farm girl”/tomboy, these utility leggings have replaced all my jeans. I wear these to work (school cafeteria), to town for shopping, and all of my gardening/animal duties around our ranch. Because I never carry a purse anywhere (yes, there’s women that don’t like purses!), I literally use every pocket. I do wish Carhartt would add a utility/phone pocket on the left leg for left handed people like me! It would give me an extra pocket to carry my pruning sheers or other small tools. And like others have mentioned, belt loops would be helpful. They are comfortable, but do have the nylon-ish feel instead of a cotton-y feel on the body…which is totally fine with me. The heavier weight material also hides body flaws much more than a thin pair of leggings. I love how they fit and are both snug but stretchy in the waist. I also love that you offer navy blue color! I now own five pairs, and have not had any of the seams unravel on me like other reviews mentioned. Hopefully that issue has been fixed. They are outside my budget, but I splurged because of how well they work for my lifestyle.

Durable, keeps my legs a little warmer in winter or wet spring conditions. Love the fit and the stretch for hiking, pruning trees, good pockets for tools-great utility pants for women!
I hope Carhartt keeps making them.
And apparently they’re sexy looking on me too!

I bought a pair to wear under my snowmobile bibs to go riding. They were very comfortable and gave me the flexibility I needed while snowmobiling. I especially liked the padded knees as I ride aggressively. Looking forward to getting another pair.

My husband bought these for me, XS, which usually for me nicely however these are rather loose fitting so I wish there was a XXS (I wear a size 1). I like the pockets and the thick fabric. I still wear them because i don’t want to hurt his feelings… in winter when I can wear thinner leggings under them, they aren’t too bad. Love the style just need a smaller size. Highly recommend if you’re a true size 2.

These are great! Love the comfort and are true to size.

They are a decent pant but they are far from a legging. They have very little stretch and the sizing is awful. I originally got a medium and it was alittle tight on me so I sized up…..the large fits my thighs perfectly but are super lose from the knee down with makes them super awkward and uncomfortable to wear! The patch on the knee rubs really badly to to point of chafing and I get that they are marketed as a legging but they are actually more pant than legging which sucks because they would be a great work pant but I honestly won’t wear them to work because there’s no belt loops so I have nothing to hold my walkie, keys and printer. You tried Carhartt but ultimately you fell short…..if you’re going to make clothing for women you should probably figure out how to cut, size and fit womens pants first.

The upper waste of the legging is size smaller than what you order. Every where else it fits well BUT the upper waste. It’s obvious this company knows nothing how clothing fit on women. We are not Barbie shape! Barbie is a doll we are humans. I ordered two of these leggings and both have the same issue. Feels great on my legs waste it physically hurts me.

Purchased these for doing chores in the colder months of Fall and Spring. I wear these for work and not for fashion. Many pockets to hold a few garden tools and such. Wish they had belt-loops. (As a former Triathlete, I know the benefits of compression Leggings)

Great pants for work, I work in a grocery store bakery and it is physically demanding. These pants are very flexible and comfortable all day. The back pockets don’t wear out from carrying pens, box cutters, etc like denim or twill. My company has a dress cde and I was told that I always look professional. The only negative is when I ordered direct from Carharrt online there isn’t an option for short length.

At first I thought the waist was too tight, but come to find out…it’s perfect! I’m so happy to have pants that fit well and don’t fall down as I’m gardening, walking, reaching, etc. One star is lost because I’d like to see these in “short” for us short people =)

I have been searching high and low for a pair of women’s work pants that were comfortable enough for daily wear, cute enough I actually wanted to wear them, and were durable enough to last longer than a few months. These leggings are everything I’ve ever wanted and more!
Unfortunately a lot of companies do not make women’s workwear in small or extra small, so Carhartt really came through for me here. I ordered these in the XS, worries about tightness because there aren’t any belt loops. They ended up being exactly what I wanted. Not too tight, but not loose enough to rub or get caught on anything while I’m working.
There are two other things that really caught my attention with these leggings as well: the first was the material. I’m sort of picky about the materials my clothes are made from as far as how comfortable they are. These leggings are not only comfortable, but they easily withstand daily wear and tear. There is even an extra layer of material over your knees, which I appreciate as I seem to rip the knees on every pair of pants I own. The second was the pockets! It may seem like a silly thing to get excited about but even my boyfriend has started to say thing about how ridiculous the pockets are on a lot of my other clothing. Half of them are for ‘design’ and don’t even function, and the ones that do are so small and narrow you can’t even fit your phone in them, let alone tools or whatever else you may need. These babies here have four, fully-functioning, large-enough-to-use pockets PLUS two bonus tool pockets on the side of the right leg that are SO useful! I didn’t even realize they were there until after I had worn them a time or two. What a nice surprise!
I told myself if I liked this pair after a few days of use, I would buy another. I like them so much I’ve decided to buy two! I’m trying out both of the other available colors, and I’ll more than likely end up buying more pairs of the black in the future, too.
I could recommend these to everyone I know! I truly and honestly don’t have a bad thing to say about them. I am excited to try more of your products now that I know you make such high quality, useful clothing. Thank you Carhartt!

These pants are exactly what I was looking for! They fit perfect and the slim fit makes them easy to slide my work boots over. They have the durability of work pants with the comfort of leggings. I got them for work on my farm but they are so cute and comfortable I want to wear them all the time!

These are the best fitting pants I’ve ever had. I have had the lightweight ones for a couple years and decided to try the midweight. These fit and look much better, even though I got the same size. I am around 185lbs and wear XL. These are slightly larger (more accurate) and aren’t too tight on my legs like the lightweight. I am 5’6″ with a 29″ inseam and the length of these pants is good. The fabric is great. I would suggest not putting them in the dryer. I washed and hang dried them a few times and they felt new the whole time. Then I accidentally ran them in the dryer and they changed for the worse.
The only thing I don’t like is the pockets are different than the lightweight pants. On the lightweight pants there is a deep pocket on the leg that securely holds my phone. There is also a zippered pocket. On these, there is a leg pocket but it does not securely hold my phone. No zip pocket. There are also hand pockets, which also don’t securely hold my phone. I also have a better time clipping my knife on the lightweight pants. If these pants had belt loops I could attach my knife to the belt.
These are pretty much the only pants I wear out of the house now (it is November in the Adirondacks NY). I am going to have to get more. I really like the brown color.

Personally for myself I’ve never owned anything Carhartt. Ran across these leggings while doing shine Christmas shopping and commented that I’d like to have a pair since I love wearing leggings. Opening my gifts ???? my big surprise was a navy pair of these leggings. Gotta say now I have a new favorite pair and will have to order other colors. Most comfortable pair of jeans or leggings that I now own.

These pants are so versatile – I can wear them while working in clay – throw them in the wash and then wear them out to a nice social gathering. I own four pair and have literally worn them to death and they are still going strong. Super cute with a nice sweater and great boots. Don’t hesitate!

I bought this pair for doing rough outdoor work and gardening. I am so wowed by these pants! They fit perfectly, it’s a bit of work to get them on but then the waistband stays put and the legging aspect is great for getting around and up and down off the ground. They are rugged. I love the cell phone pocket on the side. You shouldn’t really put a sharp tool in a pocket, get a tool belt for that. By far one of the best clothing purchases ever, in my opinion.

Great pants and last long. They don’t ware out and stretch. Just don’t try cutting metal wearing them because it will put holes in them but that’s my fault for doing that. So aside from my own error, they are great

I just bought a size L in regular in the color blackberry. I’m 5’7″ and 160 and these fit very well. I thought I had bought the fitted ones but now I’m glad I bought regular because I don’t think the fitted would have worked – too small. I love the color and plan to wear these with a thin base layer for cross country skiing. Comfortable and stay up! Love the pockets! Bought these at a local sports store.

I really do love these and wear them quite often but they really need a loop to attach keys to but it needs to be better than the loop on the lightweight ones. A petite length would be super helpful as well. I think they might run a tiny bit large.
