I will have no issues working outdoors this winter with the 6876 Hard Hat Liner and mouthpiece. During my first use I was very impressed by the warmth and the fact that my glasses didn’t fog up. Thanks Ergodyne

Any complaint that I would have with this product is really no fault of the product itself. I have a large head, and when using the liner in colder weather, I keep the harness of my hardhat opened as far as it will go. Even so, that leaves not quite enough room for my head AND the liner to fit perfectly. If I wear it for long periods without a break, it can start to make my head hurt a little. If the harness opened just one more click, this would not be a problem. The FR rating was a big attraction for me. Working in a steel mill, there are strict requirements for our FR clothing and PPE. This one hadn’t been vetted by our Melt Shop management, so I didn’t get to wear it on the hot floor as much as I had hoped to during its testing period, but I managed to sneak it in a little. I believe it would perform very well over time in such an environment. My favorite thing about this liner is the fact that I can get full-face coverage without shoving my beard into a head sock or balaclava. I tend to look like Robin Williams in Jumanji after pulling one of those off of my head. This liner, however, fastens under my beard, and the removable mouth cover velcros right on top. I cannot tell you how happy this makes me. I like it so much, I bring it home with me to wear it while I’m working at my own shop. The materials and construction are excellent, the flame orange makes it much harder to misplace than my natural or all black gear, and it’s comfortable (aside from my enormous noggin). Compared to the other hardhat liners I’ve used at the mill, this thing is a Cadillac.
